The Spiritus Award Presenter has become the Spiritus Award Recipient!

DMCS invites you to join them in an evening of celebration as we present the Spiritus Award to our much-deserving, beloved, Most Reverend Bishop Robert Harris, Bishop of Saint John.

In his 12 years as Bishop of Saint John, Bishop Harris has shown an incredible amount of support, love and generosity to DMCS. As he approaches his retirement in the very near future, we want to thank him for his immense kindness, love and shepherding of our school. Without his support, we would be unable to continue the mission of Catholic Education in Saint John.

Bishop Harris’ gentle and prayerful nature, his attentiveness to each person he meets and his continuing message of God’s love for us are some of the few things he has passed on to our students year after year.

Bishop Harris will receive the Spiritus Award at our 2019 Spiritus Dinner on November 28, 2019.

Our annual Spiritus Dinner is held each year in Saint John to support Divine Mercy Catholic School. Each year, we look to our amazing Saint John community and find people whose life and work gives witness to the virtues and values we strive for at DMCS.

Our evening begins at 6:00 pm with cocktails, a chance to meet the DMCS Community and browse our beautiful selection of silent auction items while listening to live musical performances.

At 7:00 pm, our program begins with a special performance by our beloved DMCS Choir, followed by dinner, a live auction and the Spiritus Award Presentation. Guided by two lovely DMCS Student MC’s, the evening is full of community spirit, enthusiasm and appreciation for the inspiring life and work of our Spiritus Recipient.

This fundraiser is crucial in the success of DMCS - it allows us to raise awareness of our school in the community as well as the funds needed to continue our school.
